TaCIM PhD students are required to obtain at least 180 training credits according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) over the 3-year PhD program, by accomplishing the following activities. Each student builds the education plan toghether with one or more members of TaCIM faculty, who serve as tutors within the chosen Curriculum.
 

Participation in classroom teaching: 15-30 ECTS.

Participation in seminars, workshops, scientific meetings or congresses: 3-30 ECTS

Events of general interest for TaCIM PhD students are advertised here. Information on more focused events, for students of specific curricula, is regularly provided by TaCIM tutors. 

Development of the assigned research project(s): 60-160 ECTS. 

The research project(s) is carried out under the supervision of at least one tutor. This activity is evaluated monthly, during informal meetings between the TaCIM students and faculty, and yearly, based on a report that the PhD student has to write.

Research activity at other sites in Italy or abroad: 0-60 ECTS. 

This activity is also performed in agreement with the tutor(s) and is judged based on the aforementioned report.

 
Publication of the results of the assigned research project(s) as first author in a indexed peer-reviewed scientific journal, achievement of research awards: 5-60 ECTS

Writing of the PhD thesis: 15-40 ECTS
 

Teaching activity: 0-30 ECTS
 

Other activities, to be firstly approved by the TaCIM faculty: 0-30 ECTS.
